Today’s photo of the day, part of “a photo a day challenge 2020”, is about the crying vines.

Crying Vines

I didn’t know about this vine tears phenomenon, which is a way for the grape vine to heal itself after pruning, preventing the penetration of bacteria, and finally closing off the cut wound.
According to Botanical-Online this grape vine sap is one of the most important eye drops. It can be used to treat Skin Diseases or Conjunctivitis.
