How to download videos to iPhone or iPad for free

If you are not from the USA and want to download videos from the internet (YouTube) to the iPad/iPhone and watch them offline then follow these 6 simple steps:

  1. On your iPad/iPhone find the video you want to save and copy the link (YouTube/Vimeo)
  2. Open App Store Apple app store icon, download “Documents” by Readdle Documents icon
  3. Open Documents then type en.savefrom.net in the app’s browser
  4. Paste the link you copied in Step 1 and click download
  5. Go to Documents/Downloads, click on the 3 blue dots in the corner of the video
  6. Move the video to Documents/Photos

Savefromnet says they no longer service the USA. SO that goes for Documents by Readdle. Shame. Just had to restore my IPad and lost all of the wonderful videos I had downloaded before Readdle quit the USA. Bloody shame.

There is no much space on my phone. I usually use Allavsoft to download any videos or music files to my computer. It has both Mac and Windows version.

The short answer is no. I have tried Vimeo and is working (360p). Feel free to follow the same steps regardless of the platform.
