028-2020 – How not to microwave a bagel

Today I learned how not to microwave a bagel and the image below will definitely deserve to be photo of the day, part of a photo a day challenge 2020.
The long story short, I wanted to make a smoked mackerel on a bagel sandwich, but my bagel was cold and wanted to warm it up a little bit. I placed the bagel on a plate and left it for about 1 minute in the microwave. Bad idea, water inside the bagel turned into steam. Steam and starch made it chewy. I had to throw it away.
I didn’t give up, so I took another bagel and only left it for 10 seconds in the microwave and sliced it in half before doing that. This how my sandwich looked like.
